I have been able to connect it using my Mac. After updating the Doceri Desktop software on my Lenovo, I have been unable to connect.Can be hard to navigate with finger and there is a lag between what you see on computer/projector and iPad screen.Not able to annotate directly onto website that you pull up (or at least I haven’t figured that out yet). Wi-fi network needs to be reliable for both iPad and computer.Fairly cheap software when compared to SMART and Promethian boards.The iPad can be passed around for a “Share the Pen” type of activity rather than having students write on the board.You can lead presentations or guide class discussions from anywhere in the classroom.(I did this last semester while my student teachers were soloing and needed to have access to my Lotus Notes messenger while I was out of the room.) ![]() Allows you to access your computer from anywhere on campus using wi-fi network.Available Platform: iPad iOS (4.2 or later).In the past I have saved a diagram of something that we are learning about and graphic organizers, then I wrote on the graphics using the pen feature rather than on the white board or using a paper and document camera. There are different backgrounds that are already built into the software and you can save JPGs and PDFs to the backgrounds folder on your computer. ![]() You can also use the app as a “white board” screen and write on it using a pen feature. There is also a keyboard that pops up when you need it. The computer screen appears on the iPad in either full screen or a magnified screen and you can use the computer through the iPad with your finger as the mouse.
